Graduate Arkansas Charter High School is pleased to announce the appointment of Charles Jones Jr. to our school board. Mr. Jones brings nearly four decades of educational leadership experience to this critical role, with a proven track record of improving student outcomes and advocating for innovative educational approaches.

Mr. Jones has been a cornerstone of our educational community for 19 years as the Principal of North Little Rock Academy, where he has implemented alternative learning strategies and fostered academic excellence. His contributions to alternative education have made a significant impact not only within the local district but throughout Arkansas.

A Career Dedicated to Educational Excellence

With 38 years of experience in education—37 of which have been in Arkansas—Mr. Jones has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to improving educational outcomes. His professional experience and achievement included:

  • Implementing innovative programs that significantly improved student graduation rates

  • Developing and launching numerous educational initiatives that enhanced student engagement

  • Establishing effective leadership practices that strengthened faculty retention

  • Enhancing school communication and parent involvement, leading to high levels of satisfaction

Mr. Jones has also partnered with the Arkansas Department of Education to improve outcomes for alternative education programs, bringing state-level insight to our local governance.

Deep Community Roots

A proud graduate of North Little Rock's Ole Main High School (1978), Mr. Jones' connection to our community runs deep. He holds a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Arkansas (1983) and a Master of Secondary Leadership from the University of Central Arkansas (1984).

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mr. Jones serves as a Deacon in Training at Eight Street Missionary Baptist Church, further demonstrating his commitment to community service and leadership.
